Work More Efficiently and Focus on What Matters!
Make better decisions with adaptive assessments that automatically adjust the difficulty level based on each student’s performance. The time you save on manual assessments, instruction differentiation, and multiple testing will translate into more time for other tasks, giving you greater flexibility.
What is ISIP?
ISIP™, istation’s Indicators of Progress, is an Internet delivered computer adaptive testing (CAT) system that administers student-friendly, short tests through the Internet to determine each student’s overall reading ability and then adapts difficulty of questions based on performance.
ISIP is authored by Patricia Mathes, Ph.D., Joe Torgesen, Ph.D., and Jeannine Herron, Ph.D.
What does this mean for teachers and administrators?
- istation closes the achievement gap between students.
- istation takes out all human error in assessment processing.
- ISIP gives immediate results and an easy way to predict how a student, class, school, or district will perform on future tests.
- ISIP automatically places students into the correct skill-level in the istation Reading program to ensure reading intervention success.
What are the advantages of ISIP?
- Assessments dynamically adjust to a student’s performance level, allowing ability scores to be more accurate.
- ISIP measures growth over time, independent of grade level or age.
- ISIP identifies the needs of all students for each reading domain, from struggling to advanced learners.
- Students are automatically assessed monthly.
- Subtests can be run on demand.
- Aligns with RTI models and three tiers of instruction.
